Meat tax proposed in Europe to tackle climate change

Proposals are underway in Germany, Sweden and Denmark to tax processed and red meat products. The goal of such a tax would be to help curb consumption due to health implications and fight climate change. Other nations are also considering a similar tax, on the heels of a recent Oxford University study which examined the ‘costs’ of animal-based meat.
